TREKKING IN ELBRUS REGION

The Elbrus area (Prielbrusye) is a resort area of the Kabardino-Balkar republic in the Russian Central Caucasus, situated in the upper course of the Baksan river, 144 km from the city of Nalchik.
It is the only valley in Kabardino-Balkaria, where a comfortable asphalted highway reached the altitude of 2500m. The valley is globally known for its alpinist, skiing and trekking itineraries.

TREK ITINERARY

DAY 1

Arrival to Mineralnye Vody.
Meeting at the airport.
Transfer to the Terskol village (3-3.5 hours).
Check-in to the hotel.
Equipment check.

DAY 2

Ascent to the Cheget summit (3100m).
A breathtaking view of Elbrus and the Main Caucasus Ridge.
Lunch (lunchbox) on the trail.
Descend to the hotel

DAY 3

Trekking in the Terskol valley.
Ascent to the Terskol glacier. Lunch on the trail (lunchbox).
Return to the hotel.

DAY 4

Transfer to the Adyl-Suu valley.
Trekking to the end of the gorge to “the green campsite”.
Lunch on the trail (lunchbox).
Return to the hotel.

DAY 5

Climb to the Terskol peak (3100m), rest at the Maiden Braids waterfall.
Lunch on the trail (lunchbox).
Return to the hotel.

DAY 6

Transfer to the Irik-Chat valley.
Trekking in the gorge.
Lunch on the trail (lunchbox).
Return to the hotel.

DAY 7

Departure to Mineralnye Vody.

The guide can change the itinerary (without changing its destination) depending on the weather, the condition of the team etc.
